SURREY’S CHILD & YOUTH FRIENDLY CITY STATEGY
SFP families have been invited to participate in the City of Surrey's “Child and Youth Friendly City Strategy”.
Drop by SFP on May 20th to fill out a survey and meet the program coordinator, David. He will be at SFP to answer your questions, provide program details, and have an activity for the kids.


MAKING SENSE OF ADOLESCENCE – May 19th 7pm-8:30pm
Presentation by Deborah MacNamara PhD
Adolescence will bring with it 7 rites of passage that are commonly misunderstood and misinterpreted leading to disconnections with teens. Based on the relational and developmental approach of Dr. Gordon Neufeld, this presentation is based on understanding adolescence from the inside out and in helping teens successfully cross the bridge from childhood to adulthood.

Semiahmoo Family Place will be closed that day to allow our staff to participate. Mark your calendar and bring your whole family for this fun event.


SFP GARAGE SALE
Saturday June 6th 10am-2pm
Semiahmoo Family Place is cleaning house! SFP will be holding a garage sale in our parking lot to sell used toys, books and new and gently used clothes and car seats (all new). Members are welcome to host a table at the sale. Space rentals are $10.00 per table and $20.00 if you require SFP to supply a table. Set up will begin at 9:00. Hot dogs and refreshments will be served.
