THANK YOU PARENTS!
On behalf or the Board of Directors and staff at SFP I would like to thank all members who have so kindly made donations to the centre in the past several weeks. Donations have included craft supplies, pots and pans and dress up clothes. It is clear that parents and caregivers want to keep the Spirit of SFP alive and thriving for our children and children of the future.

SFP accepts the following donations on an ongoing basis:
• Craft supplies and gently used or new toys.
• Toiletries such as hand soap and baby wipes.
• Dress up clothes for kids.


VOLUNTEER AT SFP
SFP requires volunteer support on an ongoing basis over and above the expectations of all members to keep our centre clean and tidy. Volunteer opportunities are varied and include one time, short term and long term opportunities. There is a role for everyone!

The following volunteer opportunities are available to be filled:


EASTER BREAKFAST EGGS-TRAVAGANZA
April 9th, 2009
Two volunteers are required for this one day opportunity. Volunteers will arrive at the centre at 8:30am to assist with set up and preparation of the breakfast. One volunteer is required to assist with serving breakfast while the second volunteer will assist at the front door selling tickets and greeting guests. Both volunteers will assist staff and SFP members with clean up and tidy of the centre.


PLAYROOM ASSISTANT VOLUNTEER
This is an on going role requiring a weekly commitment of four hours. The Play Room Assistant will assist staff in planning and implementing a craft for children visiting the centre and/or will run a story time in the quiet room at the centre. Volunteers will assist with monitoring the play area by ensuring a safe and tidy environment and will lend a hand with lunch time preparation and clean up. Socializing with guests at the centre will be a major focus for this role so excellent communication skills and a love for working with children are essential.


SFP CENTRE SCRUB AND SCOUR
April 18th, 2009 12pm - 3pm
SFP requires 10 member volunteers for the next Scrub and Scour of our entire centre. From furniture to floors and toys EVERYTHING will be sanitized and washed. This is a huge undertaking but the more people who show up to lend a hand the better! SFP belongs to all of us so on behalf of the Board of Directors and staff at the centre we would like to see a record turn out of members. Muffins and coffee will be available. Clean up will start at noon.

SFP WILL BE CLOSED EASTER WEEKEND
We would like to give our staff a much needed rest and will therefore be closed Arpil 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th.
We hope you all enjoy a pleasant and restful weekend with your families.
