SFP Connections Thursday April 10th, 2008

Here it is everyone, the event that was a huge success in 2006!

SEMIAHMOO FAMILY PLACE PRESENTS:
An Intimate Evening of Jazz with Award Winning Jazz Vocalist Lee Aaron
Monday June 16th 7-9:30pm
Semiahmoo House 15306 24th Ave (across from Pennisula Village)
Tickets $25 on sale soon – there will be wine, food, silent auction, Heads and Tails Game and of course some amazing music!

But to make it a success again this year we need your help.
Here are just a few of the ways:

1. Mark the date on your calendar, get a sitter and buy your tickets. Otherwise when everyone is talking about it the next day you will be sorry you missed out!

2. Plan on inviting all your friends. We will have an email invitation for you in the coming weeks that will make it easy to send to everyone in your address book.

3. Silent Auction – this is a big job and we need many people to help, from getting donations, to picking up items, to display and setting minimum bids, to organizing at the event, to helping with purchases at end of the night.

4. Who do you know? – please, please, please this is a big one. We all have contacts in the community, and it is these contacts that are the easiest way to get donations for the auction, or to be a sponsor to help cover some of our expenses. So scratch your heads and then tell your contacts about the great things that SFP provides to you and our community and ask for their assistance in this fundraising venture. All sponsors and donors will be gratefully acknowledged in all our advertising, and the sooner we have a sponsor the more recognition we can provide them.

5. Advertising – distribution of flyers. If you can have a stash in your car and put one up when you are out around town, or take an hour and simply hit some strategic locations (coffee houses, cafes, libraries). We will have lists of recommended locations.

6. Night of the event – set up, take down, coat check, ticket sales, auction check out.
