Today was the draw for our Semiahmoo Family Place fundraising raffle. Thanks to all of you, we were able to raise over $7,500 for programs and services here at SFP. A special thanks to Korki the clown, Trena at Trena's Travel and Cruises, our donors of the prizes, Ali Rizvi from the Gaming Policy Branch, and Deborah Nolet--who won the prize for the most booklets of tickets sold. Today's draw was a festive atmosphere charged with excitement and good cheer--as well as cake and Mickey Mouse pancakes!
The grand prize of the Disneyland Vacation for four went to Jan Buchanan, with ticket # 0739. We were able to contact her on the phone at work and needless to say, she was ecstatic!
2nd prize (All-inclusive party package at SFP) was won by Cindy Pebernat, with ticket #1297.
3rd prize of a membership to SFP and two $50 punchcards was won by Allison Borthwick, with ticket # 133.
Thanks again to everyone who helped make this fundraiser a success. It has been so successful that the Board of Directors is considering making this an annual event.
