Spirit of SFP Research Project
We have some funding from Kwantlen University College to look at what this ‘Spirit’ is at SFP. You may see this going on in the space on your next visit, as part of the project involves taking pictures. We want to hear from you about how this SFP space impacts your family’s life!

New! Tiny Tots Coupon Book, the first coupon book designed exclusively for expecting mothers and families with 0-5 year olds, is available at SFP. At only $10, this handy purse-sized book is a must-have for Greater Vancouver parents, who will be able to save on everything from maternity and prenatal, clothing, accessories, toys, slings, party supplies, photography,music classes, nanny services and much more. At this time, we welcome you to continue or join as a member. As the only parent-led family place in the province, we rely on our community of supporters for financial and volunteer assistance. Your membership and participation make us stronger; together we are truly able to make a difference in the lives of young children in our community, by helping us maintain and expand our services and programming offered to children and their parents/caregivers.

New Programming; Coffee, Chaos and Calm (CCC), Family Connections, the Virtues Project
Coffee Chaos and Calm runs alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays 10 to 11 am. First session Thursday Sept 27, then Oct 3, 11, 17, 25, 31. Come and share your strengths in organizing as we support each other to help our families move gently through the world. No more lost shoes, rushing out the door, and forgotten engagements. Childminding available—pre-register with Susan at 778-322-1222.
Family Connections runs every starting Friday Sept 28 10 to 11 am. Learn how you can get involved with SFP and make a difference in your community. Connect with other families and grow as a parent. Childminding available—pre-register with Susan at 778-322-1222.
Coming soon—the Virtues Project. Imagine a world where no child is without mentorship and friendship. This weekly group will offer simple ways to bring out the best in our children and ourselves and is based on the Virtues Project International materials.

During the week before Thanksgiving—come join us for special themed crafts and games. Donations accepted for the Food Bank.
Friday evening programming: Family Dinner and Boredom Busters
This week’s theme Jungle Fever with movie ‘George of the Jungle’. Boredom Busters fees are $5 per child to a max of $10 per family.
Join us for dinner at 6pm, followed by Boredom Busters activities, inflatable, and crafts at 6:30 and the movie at 7pm. Family Dinner includes main dish, cut fruit and vegetables, coffee or juice at a cost of $4 a person (max $12/family); call us to reserve your family’s space (778-322-1222). Family Dinner this week is lasagne.
